High Spec Composites Ltd, a leader in advanced composite manufacturing, has teamed up with Karryak Ltd to produce the carbon-fibre structure of their multi patented, innovative, fully modular, sea kayak.
This collaboration saw our team of highly skilled technicians work closely with Karryak’s founder, Steve Macfarlane, to develop a high-performance, lightweight, and easily transportable kayak.
By leveraging cutting-edge carbon fibre technology, High Spec Composites helped to ensure that the modular design benefits from exceptional structural properties, durability and aesthetics. The development process included extensive prototyping and testing, refining each detail to maximise strength and ease of assembly.
The Karryak kayak consists of five modular sections, which when disassembled fit into oversize luggage for most airlines, a medium-sized car, and even elevators to apartments.
